In the town of Balazote (Albacete), with a long garlic tradition, a group of farmers, aware of the high quality and market demand for their product, decide to join their efforts and dedication in interest a common project providing more strength and robustness to cultivation in the area. This is how the Cooperativa del Campo Santa Mónica was born in 1965, whose name honors the patron saint of the town.

The Santa Mónica Coopearative is currently in its third generation of garlic producers since is began with the 45 families of its founding members.
Garlic is a social crop that has always required teamwork.
Since then, our partners have known how to progress over the years, transmitting their knowledge and work models to their children and grandchildren, knowing how to adapt to the new demands of agriculture and evolving, today, to an almost complete mechanization completely of the crop.
